1.The importance for the HSK test
Firstly, HSK test provides reference for college enrollment, class-dividing, courses exemption. Hsk 3 and above will be needed for the foreigner who would like to study in the university in China.

Secondly, The level of Hsk could be a reference for employment agencies for employment, training and promotion.

Then, it can help Chinese learners to understand and improve their ability to learn and  use Chinese language.

Also it is useful for evaluating the effectiveness of teaching or training in Chinese teaching units and training institutions.

The last but not least, China lanched the new work permit for foreign employees in 2016, in which they are categorized into A, B and C groups according to their salaries, educational backgrounds, length of service,
 working hours in China, Chinese language proficiency, workplaces, ages and working experiences with score of 60-, 60-80 and 80+. 

And 2-10 points will be gained if you can get the level of HSK 1 to HSK 6.(The level higher, the more points you get.) So HSK test plays an important role for the foreign employees.
